Pre-Amp V.1

The Pre-Amp is a remote controlled amplifier used to control the volume of your sound system. The volume can be controlled via an infrared remote control or the built-in rotary. The volume is shown by a 4-digit 7-segment display. It has also a built-in real time clock providing us with the possibility to display the time. The Pre-Amp is able to control any amplifier by a 12V voltage. There is a power-off detection to mute everything. This ensures a noise free power off. Everything is working satisfyingly except for some not repeatable nasty sounds which occur from time to time. Until we have not found the origin of these problems we will not publish more details about this project.

Pre-Amp V.2

The big difference between the Pre-Amp V.2 and the Pre-Amp V.1 is that the second version is able to handle 6-channels of volume control. It also hosts its own webpage for controlling. This enables us with the possibility to control the volume by multiple devices like your computer or smartphone.
